This Privacy Policy explains how HireSense.ai Private Limited ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit https://hiretap.ai, use the HireTap application at https://app.hiretap.ai, or contact us. By using the website or the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to provide and improve the Service:
- Account information: your name, work email, phone number (optional), company name and role.
- Payment information: the amount, status and reference of each purchase. Card, UPI and bank details are collected and processed by Razorpay; we never see or store them.
- Usage information: searches, shortlists, actions taken in the app, device and browser details, IP address and log data used for security and troubleshooting.
- Content you provide: job descriptions, notes, messages and files you upload.
- Candidate information: professional profile data from public and licensed sources that the Service displays to help you recruit.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create and secure your account, including email verification;
- provide the Service, process credit purchases and send receipts;
- respond to support requests and send service announcements;
- detect fraud and abuse, and keep the Service secure;
- understand product usage in aggregate so we can improve HireTap.
3. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run HireTap, under confidentiality obligations: cloud hosting (Amazon Web Services), payment processing (Razorpay), email delivery, error monitoring and analytics, and AI processing providers. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights and users.
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure your session, and analytics to understand how the site is used. You can control cookies in your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may stop the app from working.
5. Data retention and security
We keep account data for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. Data is stored on secure servers with encryption in transit, access controls and regular backups. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
6. Your rights
Under applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or withdraw consent. Candidates whose profiles appear in the Service may ask us to remove or correct their information. The Service is intended for business use and is not directed at anyone under 18.
